About Me

A Little Introduction To Who I am

Traditional is never a word I would use to describe me or my family when asked how I grew up. Becoming a professional athlete at a young age, definitely influenced our family dynamic. Competing at a high national level at a young age, required a tremendous amount of time from me and my family. I was expected to attend training camps abroad, as well as attend daily workouts and competitions. Being fortunate enough to experience this at such a young age, left me with not only the title of Norwegian National Champion several times, but more importantly built me into the person I am today. It has taught me important values and work habits as well as allowed me to travel the world while experiencing and learning about different cultures. These aspects of being a professional skier have benefitted my work and academic career. I am a proud Norwegian, and I am truly thankful to have grown up in a safe, and supportive environment. It is a country with much to offer, and as my time in Los Angeles continues I have gained a new appreciation for my own culture.

My athletic career was halted abruptly due to injuries and I was forced to make some tough, but quick decisions. After careful deliberation and weighing up my options, I decided to pursue an academic career in Los Angeles. California had always appealed to me because of the endless opportunities, welcoming culture, and not to mention climate. Yes, I know it may seem weird having grown up as a skier, but I am a true beach girl at heart.

Since moving to Los Angeles, I’ve completed two Associate Degrees and received two Certificates of Achievement at Santa Monica College before I went on to pursue my Bachelor’s on a scholarship at the University of Southern California. After completing my Bachelor’s degree in Communication, I continued my academic journey at USC pursuing a Master’s of Science in Digital Social Media on a full academic scholarship.

USC has excelled my skills and challenged me on so many personal levels. I will forever be grateful for the impact USC has had on molding me into the person I am today. The people I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know will continue to be a large part of my life long after graduation. Graduating from such a renowned school is genuinely a dream come true. A dream nonetheless, a tremendous amount of work has been put down to earn excellent grades, while also fully supporting myself financially through college. Doing so is something I am proud to have accomplished, and have taken my time-management, organizational, and communication skills to a new level.

I have put the skills and knowledge I have gained at USC into practice with coinciding internships. During my experience at Sara Borgese Styling, I communicated directly with clients, agencies, and other business partners. Having worked on large productions such as the Official Super Bowl Commercial, I can work with multiple clients at once under extensive time pressure, while paying close attention to detail.

The many connections I have made at USC and my internship is what got me my internship with Kardashian-Jenner Productions. A fellow student who had previously worked for the family saw my work and recommended me as a potential intern as they were expanding their team. I have had the pleasure of working closely with the family, and having managed complex schedules and travels growing up as an athlete has been a tremendous asset. I’ve gained a tremendous amount of knowledge while contributing to social media content production, brand relations, and other projects. This allowed me to take part in project planning and execution from start to finish, which allowed me to adapt to new challenges quickly, something I expect to have great use for in every aspect of life as I continue to live and learn. As I continue my journey, I am thankful that my upbringing as an athlete has taught me the benefit of balancing self-discipline with enjoyment and prepared me for the many challenges and adventures that are to come.
